Doug Lawrence is a 30-year medical technology executive who spent his early career at Becton Dickinson & Company, where he led the Eye Surgery business in Waltham, MA, now BVI Medical, the more than $1 billion global Insulin delivery business, now Embecta, Inc., and R&D and Product Management for the Infusion Therapy business.
Following BD, Lawrence served as CEO at CeQur S.A. in Marlborough, MA, Interim CEO at RPS, now Lumos Diagnostics, CEO at Giner Life Sciences in Newton, MA, and CEO at Hygieia Inc. in Detroit, MI. He currently serves as advisor and board member to several Boston-area medical technology startups.
Since 2023, Lawrence has been Founder and CEO of HydroSpire Inc. in Framingham, developing hydrogen gas therapy for stroke and cardiac recovery, and OneIVSolutions, LLC, developing IV dressings to reduce infusion therapy complications.
Lawrence is a former Framingham Town Meeting member, past Chair of the Framingham Economic Industrial Corporation, and Chair of MassMEDIC. He holds degrees in Systems Engineering and business from the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University's Kellogg School.
